Ali has established a very impressive track record in creating very successful and strategic businesses in the sectors of oil & gas, engineering & construction and financial services.

He was previously a Board member at Nesma & Partners, Vice Chairman of Rawabi Holding Company, Chairman of Redland Industrial Services, Chairman of Gate Capital (Dubai), Chairman of United Safety Services (Canada) and sat on the boards of Rawabi Vallianz, Jenan Real Estate Co, Samba Capital and Tadawul listed Alujain Holding Corporation.

Ali is a YPO member, a founding member of Asharqia Business Youth Council and a Founding member of Asharqia Orphans Association.

Thomas F. Stein

Thomas brings over 20 years of P&L management, investment, business development, and management consulting experience across the oil and gas, petrochemical and heavy manufacturing sectors. As a Partner with Energy Capital Group (ECG), Thomas leads investments and strategy.

Thomas came to ECG through a merger with Cayan Holdings, a venture development and investment firm focused on investing within industrial manufacturing and services ventures across the Middle East region, where he was a Co-Founder and Partner. Prior to joining ECG, Thomas was the CEO for Aujan Industrial Solutions (AIS), a Cayan Holdings portfolio company, where he executed a restructuring, growth and diversification strategy for the business resulting in an exit at 4x multiple on invested capital for the shareholders.

Prior to industry and investment roles, Thomas was a Management Consultant with Kearney and Charles River and Associates focused on clients in oil and gas and industrial manufacturing in both the US and Middle East regions. He was an advisor on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s economic development and diversification strategy in addition to many private sector clients across a range of industries focused on strategy development and execution.

He is an author and contributor to numerous articles and white papers on topics that include competitiveness, strategy and governance. Thomas also holds several board and executive committee roles.

Nadeem began his career in Consultancy, as a Junior Consultant at PKF Jordan following which he transitioned into the role of an Investment and Business Analyst at Cayan Holding.

Prior to his position at ECG, Nadeem worked as a Strategic Business Planner at Aujan Industrial Solutions, where he supported the Executive Management with strategic advisory, reporting, and managing the company’s financial performance as well as budgeting and planning processes.
